The Pavilion of Armenia presents Microarchitecture through AI: Making New Memories with Ancient Monuments, a cutting-edge exploration at the intersection of historical memory, cultural preservation, and technological innovation.

Faced with the threats of conflict and climate change weighing on world heritage, the exhibition poses a profound question: how can artificial intelligence help us preserve and reinvent our architectural legacy?

At the core of the project is a generative AI model trained on data from the Armenian Heritage Scanning Project. Rather than simply replicating the past, the algorithm reinterprets the fragments of damaged ancient monuments, giving rise to novel digital microarchitectures. These new forms then find a tangible dimension in tuff, the local volcanic stone that has defined Armenian identity and the urban landscape for centuries.

Through this dialogue between pixel and stone, the exhibition transforms preservation from a purely nostalgic act into a continuous creative process, capable of generating new memories and giving history a future.
